Also known as Engelchenmarkt, this market is considered the prettiest since it was designed based on the Art Nouveau theme.
Almost all huts in Heinrich-Heine-Platz are decorated with wrought-iron angels and stunning floral images that are inspired by the market square’s Art Nouveau music pavilion.
During Advent, stalls at Heinrich-Heine-Platz offer almost everything: wood carvings, toys, souvenirs, tree decorations, bratwurst, sweet and hot mulled wine.
The markets also offer foods such as baked fish, mushroom pans, roasted almonds stollens and biscuits. The stalls have been well-designed using intricate flower motifs thus creating a romantic setting.
Come with your kids to enjoy the heavenly atmosphere and gorgeously lit golden color schemes at this place. Thousands of bulbs light up the market and reflect off the golden angels, which creates a magical spectacle.
You’ll also find the famous sandstone façade of the Carsch-Haus department store here too.
In 2019, the Engelchenmarkt will open on November 22nd and go all the way through the holidays until it closes on December 23rd.
The Christmas market will be open daily from 11:00 AM.
The closing time is 8:00 PM on Sunday through Thurday and 9:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Little Angel Market is located directly behind Saks OFF 5TH in Heinrich-Heine-Platz.
